Come take a walk with me :)

Helloooo everyone :)  I have a new love in my life ... a Nikon Coolpix P900 .... as you allll know I just love taking photos of everything ..lol and I was wanting a better camera zoom wise than my old camera, as I couldn't get the shots I wanted of birds eg Robins .... is actually all their fault really ..lol , I have been trying for ages to get a decent shot of one when I have been out on a walk and my camera before couldn't get close enough on the zoom ... sooo I was looking and looking for ages umming and aaahhing as to what to get ,when I happened to visit a certain  well known camera shop (Jessops)  when I called into MeadowHall last week and fell in love ..lol and promptly walked out, after paying of course ahahhaha ... with my new precious .....
I still have got the old one and DH has claimed it for himself now ....
Soooo this morning bright and breezy DD1 and I set off to Cannon Hall for a wee stroll before it got busy as the day started really promising with the sun streaming through the windows
We got there before 9.00 am told you it was early ...lol especially for a Sunday and started to tootle round to the sound of the birds tweeting and chirping and the odd raucous noise from the rooks and crows .
The first shots I got in were of a ... Squibble .....and boy did I get a good one ... I said to DD1 .. photography is 50% skill and 50% good timing ...lol ....
I spent a good couple of hours pootling round ( with a pit stop for a cuppa ) and got some fabulousssss shots if I say so myself .... I even.... wait for it .... managed to get loads of a couple of Robins whoop whoop ...... I have to admit I am impressed with this camera ...lol especially the picture of the moon I took the other  night ....
sooo while the kettle is brewing ... well you didn't think I wasn't going to make you one now did you ??? I shall bob up some photos for you to enjoy ....
I have done some stitching this week .. and worked on a WIP from awhile back Melicent Turner by LHN .... I will even show you that update too coooo ...lol
Look at the difference with this zoom

well I hope I haven't bored you with it all ..... and you have enjoyed your wee walk .... I took just short of 400 photos today and all of them as good as these ones .... but picked out my favourite ones of them all .... and now I am ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ...lol
I have bobbed over to see a few of you and have been getting bounced back emails saying my email is not recognised ???? I have tried to sort it out but don't think I have been reet successful as they say .... I have checked and they are showing up on the blogs ??
I suppose I had better sign off and get some sleep and squeak to you all again soon :) take care one and all :) love mouse xxxxx

Hi Mouse, what wonderful photos, thank you so much for sharing your favourites with us. I think that one of my favourites is the espaliered tree - so delicate. Sorry to hear that you are having blogger problems, I hope that they get fixed soon.

Wonderful photos, you take such great photos!! And if I may say so a marvellous camera too! Han has the very same one and loves it... It does take really clear shots of the moon 😊
I saw the stitching photo too! Lovely stitching! I do love the bird photos you take..... But someone was missing ... 🐶 maybe he will be in the next ones!?
Smiles :)

Michelle - wow! You are a walking talking advert for your new camera. The clarity of the photos is AMAZING! Love the robins and the rhino too. I've been 'looking' for a new camera and was looking at Nikons - now I will certainly consider your model. You have a wonderful eye for composition.

What beautiful pics! I love the one of the sheep with the small black sheep sitting next to it. All of the pics were fantastic!
Beautiful stitching, too!

Beautiful pictures, Mouse! The bird in the picture looks like one we have come to our feeder here called a Nuthatch. I googled it and saw a UK site with a picture, so you must have them there, too. They are fun to watch!

Oh Mouse, I always enjoy our photo walks together. It's so fun to see what you see on your side of the pond. Someday I hope to get there to see it all in person. For now, I'll enjoy seeing it by way of your most excellent pictures! Have a good week.

Hello Mouse,

I've been enjoying reading your blog and most especially seeing your wonderful
pictures. Congratulations on the new camera. Wow!!! You've created magic
with that thing! I love 'em all!

"Course it helps that you live in such a wonderful place. Cannon Hall. Yorkshire?
I think that I've been there .... twice! I have cousins (my mother's cousins to be
specific) who live in Barnsley and back in the 80's I visited them and they took me
to Cannon Hall to wander and explore. Then in 1990 they took my husband and
I there when we were in England on our honeymoon. Happy memories.

So I've been pouring over your pictures and sighing over them as they trigger
the longings to return to England in me that are never far from the surface.
Thank you for that. Seriously.

I would love to share a cup of tea, biscuits (or a cream tea ... sigh!!!) and
discuss stitching, birds, photography and beautiful England. Do you
read too?

Was sorry to read about your accident and hope that you continue to
improve and heal and return to your old self. (Note: not implying that
you're old ... just an expression ... ) :)

I'm off to read more of your blog. Have a great day!

OH, great pictures indeed. I was well worth buying this camera.I particularly love the ones with the birds. I have never seen such a blue bird but other commenters seems o have recognized it. I just know the little bird with the red face, a goldfinch.

So glad you found a new camera you like, the pictures turned out wonderfully, especially all the little birdies! I'd love to get a new one myself, and am always on the lookout for recommendations. I'd like one with a very good macro setting for stitchy closeups! It's so nice to see that Spring is indeed spring-ing somewhere LOL, it's a little late here this year :)

Definitely that is a Nuthatch! And I love the Robins... they are so cute! But the one with the red face I never saw before, and is certainly IS a European Goldfinch! Wow!! Wish they would migrate over here!! So very unique!! That is a great camera... I also am thinking of getting a new one, because of birding! I miss quite a few good shots cause my camera just doesn't go that far out! or up! Thanks for sharing with us!
