Hi all hope everybody is OK and enjoying this wonderful hot weather we seem to be having lately :) I've had lots of washing flapping in the small breezes we keep getting, (been teaching dd's how to use the washing machine !!!! apparently they already know how just don't want to do it !!)
I've made a humbug for DJ and filled it with orts for when her life started to unravel a wee bit as things so often do she had some colourful threads to darn it back together again, any way here is my picture of it :)
I've also finished the set of three humbugs for my bedroom I've just got to sew them together which is today's job as its UFO day on Friendly_Stitchers and as I 'm looking after the wet noodle for Alison Joy I'd better get them done ..lol
I've also been very busy being a guinea pig for youngest dd's hairdressing course as well as being one for a few of her college friends as well , I've popped a picture up of my "posh do " I felt a million dollars in it pity I wasn't going out anywhere to show it off :(
well apart from this I've recovered from the epic journey ..lol although it took me quite a few days to do it !!! and to be honest I really haven't got much done in the way of updates to show apart from "The Castle " has progressed a wee bit since last time .... I love working on it but I don't seem to be getting as far as I seem to have stitched !!! but see for yourselves.
Hope everyone is getting some stitching done while the nights are still light and long ..... I can't believe that half the year has flown by already and before we know it there will be Christmas decorations in the shops ! OK I think that this is all for now folks as I've to get those humbugs made up before someone use's the wet noodle on me heheheheheh:)
Take care everyone squeak soon love mouse xxxxxxx

The adventures of mousemouse and jo'ey
Well it all started on a wet Sunday morning with the eldest dd wanting to go out as she was bored and didn't want to stay cooped up in the mouse house and her guinea pigs needed some more hay.
So off we tootled in the car to a local garden centre where we duly went round and looked at the pets for her to turn round n say mmmmmm i think this is expensive for a small bag of hay can we go to Wentworth please ????? she smiled sweetly and said I'll buy you lunch :)
Well that slightly swayed it for me ..lol
So off we tootled back in the car to the garden centre and got wet and dried and wet again ..lol as we walked round the centre to the pet shop ..... jo'ey saw a white chicken eeekkkkkk she wanted it for her white pet collection !!!!!
Luckily for me DH was at work and she couldn't ask him PHEW !!!!!
We decided to have a walk around the walled garden there and we fought over the camera unfortunately she won :(
she was like David Bailey snapping away merrily at all and sundry including a few shots that took themselves heheheh ;)
we had a lovely pootle round and the sun even came out again but I was in dire need of a rest and a reviving cuppa !!! so we went into the cafe which is a huge conservatory and would make a fabulous stitching place ..lol I had a lovely cup of tea and a huge cream scone and boy did I need the energy it gave me for the next stage of the tale ..lol
The Walk !!!!! can't do scary music but i think you get the picture hehehe
Jo'ey had always wanted to walk down the tree lined path towards the local church so feeling lulled into a false sense of security and full of cream scone I opened my small mouth and said "go on then why not !!!!"

well here is a picture of the view ! can you spot the church ????????? and this was from part way down too.
I must admit it took me quite a while to get down to the bottom of that path :(
The church was lovely to look at and there is some ruins just the other side of it and the Jo'ey says "ooo i know where we are if we go down here we get back onto the main street of the village " mmmmmm so I duly followed and sure enough we were at the other end of the village and the car was parked over the other side and we had to get back to it .........
well back we did get to the car about an hour and a half later my body was a wee bit hurty !!!!!!
Needless to say dear daughter made me lots of cups of tea that night and looked after me !!!!
On a good note tho I have an updated picture of CA after my first week of stitching her . I've now got "the castle" on my frame just in case I get the urge to do a bit on it .
so on that cheery note I shall say toodle pip and squeak to you all later :)

Flying needles and sticky tape ..lol
Hi folks hope this finds you all well and enjoying this wonderful sunshine we have been blessed with these last few days . I'm writing this while all my windows are open, the washing is flapping in the wee breeze that's about and I've got some peace and quiet ..lol :)
well where do i start ????? I have finally caught up to where Abi had got to on our stitch along with "the embroideress" and i must say that this piece when finally done will be stunning ... just not overly pleased with the charts that we both have ... we bought this kit a long while back and the charts have lots of information missing so its a case of scratching our heads and making a "we'll go with this " kind of decision. Any ways here is my progress up to date :
the first picture is the whole lot so far and the 2nd one is a close up of the bit at the bottom ;0

I was so pleased with what i'd achieved i decided to do a new start and guess what i chose ??????????
Yep you guessed it the Celtic Autumn :) by lavender and Lace
I started it last Sunday night and I'm stitching it on a
piece of Polstichers fabric Fallen Leaves ....it is an absolute dream to work with hence the "flying needles as you will see from my progress pictures ..lol . the first picture was taken on the Monday and the 2nd was taken on Wednesday and I've done a wee bit more since then ..lol
I will keep you updated as I go along ... the colours are the alternative ones which are for me more like "proper" Autumnal ones ... my eldest dd keeps cracking the whip so that I get it finished soon and then she wants me to start on the Winter one !!!
I did some work on the last of my humbugs (set of three for my bedroom) as my UFO nights work on Thursday night so by next week it should be finished ready to sew up and stuff and then I will post a photo of them all done :)
Where does the sticky tape come into the scheme of things I hear you puzzling ;) well as some of you know DJ is having a bit of a rough time of it at present so I made her a get well card and sent it to her and as she's got it and loves it I can share it with you all now .
And finally I was sat in my little craft room the other day as the rain was coming down onto my lovely flowers, I went out to capture my patio rose while it still had some rain drops on it .... ( it was still raining as I went out too ..lol).Well i shall leave you all for now and go and get some more stitching done ... sigh its a hard life being a stitching mouse!!!! teehee xxxxxxxx
