something a wee bit different today :0

Hi every one ... today I though I would treat you to something a wee bit different in the fabric dept :) and who ever sent the frogs over.... I will be having words ..lol
day four dawned .. cold, wet and miserable the mouse house was reasonably quiet so I decided to choose today "Bushel and a Peck" by La D Da   and stitch it on a Sparklies  solitare fabric that is just adorable to look at and stitch on ... I am using a mixture of Anchor and Dmc as didn't have all the colours in and merrily got to work ....
then I had to reverse stitch .... set off again and got further to realise... I was a thread out *sigh * reverse stitched again ..... meanwhile the postie came and brought me a lovely parcel from DJ with a beautiful stitched snowman in a gorgeous frame ... and my CCN January Cottage chart too ... whoop whoop :)

so armed and dangerous with a cuppa I got back to my stitching to find ...... not only can't I count today.... I can't read either ...lol .. instructions stitched with one thread over two ..... * aggghhhhhhh .... but on the up side I think it looks better with two over two on this fabric ...lol

I got to the end of my thread length and called it a day with this one and took a photo quick ...lol ... and decided to sort out the "normal" thread for the cottage ... I have most of them sooo should be able to make a start on it in the next day or two ... I am going to stitch these all onto one piece of fabric from Sparklies (again)... called Barely Bronzed ... took a photo to show you again too ..... while the brain was working I remembered I hadn't shown you the wee prezzies I managed to stitch for a few folks for Christmas  soooo I shall pop that on here too, for you to nosy at :)

and the strawberry fob was made by Yvonne  from Friendly Stitcher s for the bran tub the other year at Harrogate  .... it is gorgeous isn't it :)

ok here you go... eye candy ....
From DJ .. its sooo cute :)

Day 4 start

almost ready to start

Christmas goodies to friends

and some more goodies

Right I shall leave you for now and go and get something done and decide what I shall start tomorrow and hopefully the frogs will have gone ..lol
take care and happy stitching :)
love mouse xxxx

So glad my parcel made it there finally! I'm glad you liked the snowman...Hopefully you liked it as much as I loved my pillow!! Looks like I had the fattest pillow there...LOL Sorry it was so late, but snowmen you can keep out all winter...right? As for the frogs, I told them to stay here, but they were as anxious to see England as I was...so send them home if you are tired of them, I know just what to do with them. *evil grin* Love the winter sampler on the gingham...very nice start, can't wait for tomorrow! *Hugs*

I hope the frog reamins absent from your house, love your start even if you did it several times, means its just perfect now though. I've my January cottage ready to go and once most of my crazy starts are out of the way I'll be giving it a whirl, I to am opting for the once piece of material so I'm really looking forward to seeing yours, what really cute gifts you made.

ROTFLMSO - tried hard not to laugh at your pain, but failed sorry!!!
Evidently you got my portion of the La D Da frogies - you're not the only one who loves to give so freely :) Don't worry 'tho, I'm pretty sure they are only in for a short visit - it sounds like it's a bit cold over there for them to stay for long.
BTW - Love your sweet little gifties, had seen Gillie's sat happily amidst her other Chrissy pillows

"armed and dangerous with a cuppa" rofl - I love that quote! Lovely stitching and gifts. I am so sorry the frogs came to visit. Please don't send them my way. :o)

oh dear silly frogs. I've done that before too. Was running out of purple on a kitted project and wondering why and then I saw it was over 1. Said to heck with it I wasn't ripping out and wrote the company for more :)
Hope tomorrows stitching goes well!

holy moly that fabric you picked for Bushel and a Peck is AMAZING. I love it. Also, I think you sent a couple frogs this way. I'll be sending them back tomorrow :)

I really love the fabric you've chosen for Bushel and Peck! Really gorgeous!
If you don't mind hanging on to the frog - or keeping it over in the UK it would be appreciated :-P
Great gifts too!

So that is where the frogs went! I had frogs on day 1, day 2, and tons of frogs on day 3. I shooed them away and saw no frogs on day 4. Sorry that they showed up in Mouseville.

Wonderful starts!

Sally said...

Nooooooo please don't let that frog visit me again as he was here last night! Grrrrrrr! Lol!

Lovely new start and looking forward to seeing your cottage.

Lovely gifts both sent and received.

Love the sparkly fabric for Bushel & a Peck. I have that kitted up with a dark, ugly fabric, and now I'm going to take another look. I want sparkly fabric too! Very cute initialed little pillows!

Lovely post Mouse, as always. I'm gonna have to peruse my emails today and see if I got my bacon butty on Wed, lol. Lovely pics (typical of you) and I really love that snowman frame from DJ. It's just flipping adorable. Grats on the new start. Not so much on the frogging. I've not had an attack by those monstrous little beings in a while (knock on wood), so I didn't send them to you. Hope it goes better for you from here on out!! Oh, wait, Marguerite needs to be frogged. I haven't done it yet, but I need to... Sigh, I hate frogging...

Veronica said...

Aww... Sorry to hear about the frog attack. Those darn pesky frogs! Good progress though, seeing as you had to reverse stitch twice.

Lovely gifts. That snowman and frame is so cute!

Hugs,
Veronica.
