Pumpkin Cottage and scissor frogs :)

Hi every one :)
first of all many thanks for the good wishes ... I am experiencing "women's problems" and I have now got some help etc after the tests... until I go to the hospital for some more tests done *sigh  ....

but enough of that ...lol .... welcome to all my new followers *waving paw at you all ... I've snuck up to over 300 now ... and am soo pleased to see you all and no I've not bribed to0000000 many with cups of tea and goodies honest ...lol

I finally managed to sit down after tea to start today's offering of Pumpkin Cottage CCN using all the recommended threads  but stitching on an unknown piece of 28 count  evenweave that is actually a lovely peachy shade :)

I was sooo enjoying it I didn't really want to put it down to take a photo and update and catch up with you all ... it is lovely to see what other peeps are stitching on and all their goodies and links and enabling etc etc etc .... and boy do they seem to do that to me lately when funds are low *sigh heheheheh

It seemed I wasn't the only one to be visited by those pesky frogs the other day they seem to have done the rounds all on that same day ..... hopefully they have hopped it to somewhere else away from any stitchers :)

soooo while pottering around town today I popped into a few charity shops and picked up some books four for a £1.00 :) and also a lovely scissor frog that just needs a wee dip in soapy water to be pristine :) well the top part does ..... for the princely sum of £2.49 or $3.84 converted :)

well I shall let you see the photos for today ... I hate having to take them so late on as I can never get the colours right ... hopefully tomorrow will take them again for you to see the proper colours :)

Pumpkin Cottage CCN and a flat out frog ..lol

scissor frog
I don't know whether I should really let you in on this but...... there may be a new furbaby coming to the mouse house ...  not sure what type but hopefully it will be a springer of some sort .... the girls are buying it and training it etc etc etc and we are going possibly tomorrow, to go an see if, where we got my Bracken from have got any pups ready .... soooo will let you all know soon ;)
off to go and catch up with every one else's blog's and say hello :)
take care till tomorrow and happy stitching :)
love mouse xxxxx

You will love stitching Pumpkin Cottage! That was one of my favorite finishes last year. Actually it still needs to be framed... hmmmm....

Froggy made me smile. Looks like maybe you threw him flat when his little friends visited... : )

Hi Mouse, I am looking at the photo right now but I still don't know what a scissor frog is? Please enlighten me.

Sounds like you're just loving your latest project, Mouse! It looks so pretty on that fabric. ANd such a pretty new scissor frog, too. Do hope all those hospital tests go smoothly. And that the new family member fits right in--what fun!

Hope your female troubles are not too bad. I call them Horror-moans at this point. Still amazed at all your starts. Keep up the stitching fingers.

Hopefully you'll be fine again soon. Thinking of you during your tests. Having a Laparoscopy this month myself I know a bit you you must feel.
Love your new start. And the scissor frog is adorable.
Can't wait to hear more about the pup

Mouse! Great start on CCN's Pumpkin Cottage, which I think is my favorite design of Nikki's. The flat out frog is even cute, LOL!

The flower frog is something I need for my scissors, but we have no thrift shops around that I know of. EBay has them, but not for $3.84 I know! And shipping on top of that!

I can't wait to see if and when you get your new furbaby. Nothing delights me any more than animals, and as you know (and were so kind as to send me condolences personally), I lost a kitty last year, and I have 4 kitties left, but I would have more if I could. At my age, I don't want to risk getting another furbaby that has a chance to outlive me, and it wouldn't be fair to him/her to be uprooted for a new home or animal shelter, so I shall live vicariously through those (like you) who get babies!

Thank you for your visit to my blog!

Ohhh a new furbaby. I'll watch for it.

I do hope that you are doing okay and not feeling too badly. Stupid women's problems drive me insane!!!

Stiching is lovely as always. *hugs*

Lovely stitching as always, Mouse. And I like your frogs. Both the laid out one (wish my frog was laid out like that, instead of hopping merrily through my stitching) and the flower one are lovely. Good luck with the new pup!!

Great start. Leave the frog in dilute bleach overnight, it will come up sparkling (note: this only works for glass frogs and is to be discouraged for live ones)
Best wishes for your tests

Lovely start. I do enjoy watching your progress, but a new start is sooo much fun. Wonderful find on the frog. I really love seeing all the different ones about the Web. I can't keep my scissors out as one of the cats will carry them off. Congratulations on the new furbaby.
