Magical week :0

Hi Every one .... grab a cuppa this could be a long one ..lol
Cooo where to start ...  well we got over on Sunday to see my dad and we had a fab time .. the sun shone and although a wee bit windy in places it was mostly warm thank goodness ...
we went to Lytham first of all for  a walk round the shops and then we moved on to the South Pier at Blackpool as DD2 wanted to go on the amusement slot machines ... we always saved our 2p's when they were younger to go on the one armed bandits ..  we watched some mad fools go up on a trapezium thing to be swung over the pier and also some more mad fools go on a seat that catapulted you up into the air ..... that was really scary to watch (photos to follow)  considering it was almost the hight of the season the beach was actually empty .. I remember days when you couldn't move for folks being on there ... boy that is showing my age hehehehehe  .....
We went on into South Shore to the wonderful ice cream parlour there  .. can't remember how to spell the name as its Italian ... but suffice to say get a tissue ready for the photo of my" Norries mess "...... I know I am not supposed to have ice cream and cream etc but sometimes the pain has to be worth it !!!!!!
The drive home was uneventful and we arrived safely back at the mouse house around 10ish at night ....
My test piece arrived safely at its destination and Lady P loves it PHEWWWW ..lol so here's to a long and lovely stitching time together :)
I finished the Needlework shop on Wednesday so 12 down and 3 to go yipppeeee ....  my order from 123 stitch should be here any day soon too  ... I am stalking the postie every day ..lol
brb just going to re pop the kettle on ......
AHHHHH that's better  a lovely cuppa .. any one want a biscuit to dunk ????
Thursday DD 1 and I went to the midnight showing of HARRY POTTER in 3D and wow we weren't disappointed... we set off early as we thought there was going to be a huge queue and got there in record time ..lol ... and because we were seeing it in 3D we got let into the cinema early so had time to pick our seats and watch every one come in .. some were dressed up and it was a really nice house to sit and watch the film in .... I won't spoil any ones surprise if they haven't seen it yet but take some tissues ..lol ... its the last film ever heheheh
Had my acupuncture on Friday which was a good thing as this week end was the ISHW or international stitch and hermit weekend hosted by ....http://joysze.blogspot.com/....... and boy did I manage to actually hermit and stitch heheheh
Saturday I finished parts 9 and 14 of the Romantique SAL by magicaspuntadas.blogspot.com and have posted my photo off to her already so I can sit back and get one with the thousand and one other stitching bits I need to do hehehehe    (there is a charting error in part 9 the second rose up .. leaf on the right hand side is wrong) ... please note I didn't find out till it was too late and I wasn't going to frog so nerrrr ..lol....... that night I did a wee bit more on the Poinsettia house by LHN :)
Are you still with me ???
Sunday I started and finished all the stitching on the summer biscornu exchange  piece for Kate..... who is my partner on Friendly Stitchers for this exchange soooo I can't show you a picture of this one sorryyyyyy .... hoping today I get it sewn together and on its merry way :)
Poinsetta house LHN
I've also started on my challenge piece over on the  http://stitchbitch.blogspot.com    so I can't show you that either ...... and you will be pleased to know that I have actually started afternoon tea (HAED) and doing it over one on 25 count  too .... suffice to say I shall be stitching on this one for a lonnnnnggg time ..lol
soooo I think this is it ... was that a collective sigh of relief I heard hahahahah  ... on to the photos yeahhhhhhhh :)
I shall leave you to drool till next time :) take care and happy stitching :)

Your stitching is as wonderful as ever, just love the fabric you're stitching the Romantique SAL on, it's so beautiful.
Not surprised you didn't go on the 'nutter' ride at blackpool...must have a loose screw to be on the end of a big elastic band!!

Hugs Jo xx

I love those gorgeous ocean scenes (the photos w/o mad people at least...). Wow, I really miss the ocean!
The Needlework Shop is waaaay too cute! And you are flying along with the Romantic sampler - I still adore all the pinks.
And after all your pics, I'm not sure whether I'd rather snuggle a chick or a Norries mess.... ;-)

Great post - everytime we have been to Blackpool from being a tot to just the other year it has rained - last time it was practically horizontal!!! Stamps foot - I am not going again!!! lol. Fab stitching your SAL looks really difficult - I've nearly finished my chicken with a few mistakes - err I mean artistic license :-) xx

Wow, Mouse, what an update. I love the Romantique SAL. I know I keep saying that, but... Ah, the colors are just gorgeous. Keep up the good work. Can't wait to see pics of your HAED. I have a very serious HAED addiction. I keep buying them. Your chicks are adorable. I love the little things! And grats on the Needlework Shop finish. Your CJC is going well. I freely admit, I would be one of the crazies, if I could afford it. I'm fearless! And the ice cream looks fabulous. Glad you had a good trip. You got a lot accomplished!! Nice progress on Poinsettia House too. I would love to go see Harry Potter but I have a friend coming up to see it with me, and she's not coming up till October, so I have to wait. In the meantime, I'm gonna be taking my Harry Potter collection over to mom's so she can see them. She's seen Sorcerer's Stone and Chamber of Secrets, but none of the others that she knows of. So I'll at least be able to watch some HP. I hope you're having a great day so far.

Hi there, Mouse. Love the colours on Romantique. Congrats with your Needlework Shop.

Great photos. I see all that regularly,I live in Blackpool. The Ice cream Parlour has been there for ever... It's called 'Notoriani's' It used to be a treat to go there with my Grandma for a 'Sundae' and actually sit inside. Now that's many . many years ago. My DH and I still call in for a 'Tub' when we pass after a walk along the promenade on a sunny day..

I'll have to wait a while fot Harry Potter but I'll see it in the end. It's so sad that it's all over' Boo Hoo.

Congratulations on finishing Needlework Shop. It looks lovely. I never realized there are one over one stitches in it. Cute!

Once again, your needles must have been smoking! You stitch so fast. Love your Romantique Sampler. Luckily I noticed the leaf mistake a few stitches in so I was able to frog in :)
