Goodies, Wins and a finish all in one week ..lol

Yooo hoooo every one ... grab your cuppa and pull up a comfy chair , the usual tea's, coffees and hot chocolates are on offer and there may even be the odd cookie or two as well :)
Thank you for all the birthday wishes and the fun continued well after and some more is still to arrive now I have finally decided what I needed ..lol ...
Firstly before I tell you what has been going on at the mouse house I really must give a big apology to Gillie I forgot to post about the wonderful ornament that she stitched for DH and I for our Wedding Anniversary , she stitched us a perfect chart from the Primitive Hare from her book the primitive atmospheres which is soo true in our house ...lol.. Thankyoooooo Gillie :)
On the Thursday after my birthday I received from Southpaw Stitcher a parcel of purple goodies .... the wee pin cushion I had won on her giveaway as well as some gorgeous purple threads and a wee ort catcher which when I went to stitching that night was given much inspection and speculation as to how was made .... luckily she put us out of our misery and sent me the link on how to ..lol .... then a day or two later  from Calamity Jr ... no blog yet but we all know her, sent me some thread which is the same name as where she is from, which just happens to be purple ....lol as well as the Travelling Pattern Lizzie*Kates "Friends are like angels " which I shall kit up toot suite and hopefully get stitched very soon and then I can pass it on to the next stitcher .. I will do a separate post once I've stitched it ..... and there is more ....lol Lisa from the inspired stitcher sent me a parcel of goodies as well which included a wee marking ruler , a needle tin, a mouse pin cushion , some notelets and hot chocolate and not forgetting Master Bentley got some goodies from Shelby :)
And there's more ...lol I won Ma Teakettle's  blogaversary giveaway ...  whooo hoooooo ... I can't wait to see what she has chosen for me .... and to  show you all too .... this wee mouse is still grinning :)
Well the weather here at the mouse house has been rather wet and windy which meant lots of stitching time ... and I got Curly Q by LHN finished last Tuesday .. all I can say is PHEW that is one lovely chart but I won't be stitching it again in a hurry ...lol ...  and with the thrill of a finish I got out a UFO of a couple of years .... one of my 2012 Crazies ... A Bushel and a Peck by La D Da and I am enjoying working on this one now .... I have also made up a Sewing machine tidy and a wee gift for a friend over the pond which is now winging its way to her sooo once I know it has arrived I shall be able to show you ... also DJ's parcel has been posted so should be with her very soon to and the long awaited Travelling Pattern that was started by Peggy Lee  is now on its way back home at long last .... I will be like a mouse on hot bricks until I know that they have arrived safe and in one piece :)
I decided the other day to move my craft room round abit and also in a bid to sort of!!! stitch from stash started to kit up some charts that I have got and 25 ish later there doesn't seem to be much dint in the stash Whoops ...lol and there is still more to do ... hmmmmm think I need to get a dose of smoking needles heheheheh
Coooo I think after all that I had better go and get the kettle on again ....*mouse scurries off and washes a few pots and gets the cups ready ....
Gaynor from Stitchersanon blog has designed a lovely butterfly chart for a competition and I have started to stitch it ...and I am really pleased with how it is going ... paws crossed I can make the deadline of March 1st  as it will look lovely in my "going to be newly decorated bedroom " we are having a new window put in as quite frankly this one lets in more cold than by having the door open ...lol  sooo watch this space ..... 
This afternoon after tackling my wee pile of ironing .... thought it was much bigger until everyone else took theirs out whooo hooo .. I was sat at the computer pootling round as you do when I heard DD1 say go and look at Master Bentley in your room .... sooo armed with the camera I managed to get some shots of him .... in my stitching chair .... which really made me giggle  and while the camera was out and the rain had stopped I took some photos of the wee snow drops we have got .... Spring is on its way folks :) soooo with out further ado and waffling I shall post the photos up .....

Tea, Cake and lots of goodies :)

Hi every one :) hope this finds you all well and keeping warm ... lots of you are experiencing lots of the white stuff and we at the mouse house are expecting some too, even thought there is signs of spring arriving .... brrrrr .... any hoooo ... on to the good stuff ... cuppas and cake and not just the sponge kind either .... my lovely DD 2 made me a sweet cake .... how cool was that ... so pull up a chair grab your brew and a bit of cake or some sweeties and enjoy your visit ....
I have had a wonderful few birthday "days "..lol  I was taken out on Sunday for an early birthday meal to a very nice "posh " Italian restaurant by DH , and then on Tuesday my actual day I was up at the crack of dawn opening my  wee packages that have been arriving at the mouse house .... ooooing and aaaahhhing  at all the lovely cards and presents I have been given .... and there is some more on the way too ......I have bobbed the names up under the photos and links where they have a blog as it was soooo much easier..lol and I just love them all... thank you once again every one :)
Unfortunately I had to go to work but I did have a good day and got some lovely gifts from  work too :) and when I had finished DH took me to Meadowhall  and treated me to another lovely meal and bought me a gorgeous Swaroski  crystal necklace and a Cath Kidson handbag with matching purse how lucky am I :)
Talking of lucky I picked the winner of my celebration gift certificate but you will have to wait a wee while longer to find out heheheh .....
This last week I have been concentrating on Curly Q and am onto the last leg and can see the finishing line woooo hoooo ... and  drum roll please ♫♫♫♫♫ I have been doing some crochet... I have not done any in *Cough Cough* years and wanted to see if I could managed to do some .... soo with a wee bit of help from my friends I got started and you can see how well I have got on :)

Its that time for Celebrations again :)

Yooo hoooo every one ....hope you are all well and stitching away merrily ..the kettle has just boiled so grab your cuppa and pull up a chair ... you may want to rest your wee paws for a while :)
This year I decided was going to be my year of finishes and new starts but mostly finishes of all my WIPs ... well as much as I can at any rate ... and soooo far so good ... I have finished my  second La D Da  Alphabet  and just need to make it up now ... think it is going to be a needle book but that is subject to change heheheh ... then I got all the hem stitching done on my Heartstring Samplery piece that the stitching was finished back in 2012 and ..... I am almost there with Curly Q after a few stern squeaks to myself about wanting to give up on it ....  and now I am loving it again :) and really looking forward to getting something else done and finished  too ...lol :)
I managed also to send out most of my wee late (early ) Christmas presents , only one hasn't been sent yet due to family illness but I can show you all the rest as her's is slightly different to the others :) To see Michelle's you will have to bob over to her blog as forgot to take a photo of hers *sigh ... I have got more things to make and send out to peeps  but you will have to wait until I have done them ..lol ((wee raks ) )......
And I got a late present too from Ally :) the  wee gingerbread mouse by Just Nan ... how cute is that ....even DH was impressed ...lol She went to great lengths to get it for me too ...Thankkkkyoooou :)
Last weekend DH and I travelled in the mouse mobile over to Sunny ??? Blackpool to go and see my Dad  and while I was there we nipped over to Marsh Mill so that I could go to the stitching shop there ... well there was a bit of disappointment as it wasn't but ..... there was a wonderful sewing place and patch work shop ... called Grace and favour.... http://www.grace-favour.co.uk/
we arrived before the shop had opened but Emily kindly opened the shop up for me and promptly made DH a cuppa (and me too ) she just knew I was going to be there a wee while ...lol ... and I was heheheh ... I bought some lovely fat quarters and trims  but guess what I haven't actually photoed them !!!! whoops .. well I shall have to keep you in suspense ...lol  and I want a shop like that too ... they had old machines out on display and it was lovely to see the girls who worked there and also chat to them as they had tons of experience and they all were all young .... can you tell I was there a wee bit ...lol ... I think I am going to make some bunting out of some of the fabric I got ... :)

Sooooo on to the Celebrations bit... next week .... 28th to be exact is this wee mouse's birthday .... and I want to do something again, to have some one celebrate with me as well ... well after much thinking and asking DH what I should do, we decided that a Gift Certificate would be the best way forward ... then the lucky person can choose what they need the most, especially if they are stitching from stash ... and desperately want this or that chart  but can't ...lol 
soooo there you go ...  I thought probably the best would be to have a choice from either 123.stitch  or the Patchwork Rabbit depending where you are if you are lucky to be the winner .... amount will be £20.00 or $34.00 dollars (approx) .... and that's it .. no hoops to go through just be a regular visitor and  I shall choose the winner on my Birthday and will let them know as soon as I can from there ....
ok I shall go and pop the kettle back on while I find the photos of stuff I did take ...lol

Last Stitches of 2013 and beyond :)

Hi folks :) hope you have all had a wonderful Christmas however you celebrated and are looking forward to what the new year holds :) Some of you are already there  sooo I hope you had great time celebrating HIC ....lol 
Soooo have you got your cuppas and comfy chairs ??? ok .... let me begin ....
I have been counting up the finishes ... not the starts  ;) heheheh .... and this year I have managed a credible 33 finished cross stitched projects.... one quilt and a few Christmas presents that will be on their way at the weekend .... so I could either be late or in front for next year???? hahahahahha 
Not bad for a wee mouse who works full time :) 
I have over the Christmas period made up the Yellow Bird from La d Da and love it ... I stitched it on some of Jane Greenoffs spaced dyed linen with Nancy's thread (Victorian Motto) and finished it with some of her chenille trim too that perfectly matched the thread :) I managed to put some stitches into the cottages by CCN but no photo as not worth it ... believe me ...lol  and I did a wee bit more on the Alphabet by La D Da  as it was a repeat of what I had already stitched ... I just followed it :)
On the Saturday before Christmas I went for a walk with Master Bentley and took my camera as the moon was out and the sun was just about to rise and got some fab photos even if I say so myself ... Bentley posed for you Anne :) so I will pop them up for you to see .... he got a wonderful help the hero's coat off Santa Paws and he wouldn't take it off  and he posed on Christmas Day for you too ...lol
Talking of presents I got some lovely goodies , June sent me some candy cane thread :) Michelle sent me a cute wee stitched  Quaker mouse and calender , DJ sent me some cute mouse slippers and a beautifully stitched coin purse as well as the wee mouse ornament :)...Wendy and Chris (no blog up and running yet but there will be ..lol) sent me spool Pin cushion ,a lovely tea light jar and candles and also a gorgeous stitched piece framed ... hmmmm now where did I see someone stitching that ...lol.... I also joined in the Secret Santa with my group Friendly Stitchers and my wonderful partner Amy sent me the charts from my wish list ... guess what I am doing tomorrow ... ordering the threads so that I can kit them up to get them started as soon as ....  Thank you all once again, I have been spoilt ....  not to mention all the other goodies from family and friends :)
