The Small Harrogate stitchy show

Good evening everyone :) the kettle has boiled and I have a selection of goodies to tempt you with , so please pull up a chair and join me here for a few moments :)
firstly I would like to say thank you to everyone that sent me kind words, thoughts, prayers and cards too ..... it has helped me tremendously since my dad passed away , his funeral was a lovely affair and he would have been proud of  how everything went and he would have enjoyed the party afterwards too, the sun shone the entire day and it was good to catch up with friends and family you don't often see these days due to busy lives.
In between everything was the small Harrogate Stitching and Quilting show and I wasn't going to go at first but I know my dad wouldn't have wanted me to miss it and so I tootled over in the mouse mobile with Chris for the day .... which was another glorious day too .... it was in a different hall this time and was muccchhhh bigger .... we browsed round the beautiful quilts on display  and oooo'd and aahhh'd at them all , there was such a stunning variety of designs and ideas I can imagine that judging was a hard affair , I didn't take the camera with me either so cannot show you any off them :( .... I only took my small quilted bag as wasn't intending getting much at all ... whooops
Normally Chris and I would have finished browsing around two ish but at 4.15 pm we were  still going where was it we wanted to go back too ...lol
I got quite a few bargain fat quarters at a £1.00-£1.50 and a few charts and a couple of bits for presents (these I can't show you ..lol)  and Chris got quite a good haul too :)
Stitching wise I have kept busy and finished Abracadabra by Blue Attic on Polstitchers fabric Taboo and using gast thread stormy teal .... the backing fabric on the photo I got at Grace and favour in Thornton Cleveleys Marsh Mill, I have also started my needlebook for my partner Ann on Friendly Stitchers as well as kitting up my RR  , so I have been busy ... I have even managed to do a teeny weeny bit more to my craft room ...go me :)
other than that life goes on ... busy as a bee at work and no sign of it slowing down as yet, although I have a wee bit of help doing a bit of the back log of filing etc and on Thursday I am off to Hessle for the day to do their group interviews , hope the weather is kind to me ....lol
ok I shall go and put the kettle on again then will sort some photos out for you to drool over heheheeh

Abracadabra by Blue Attic

only a couple of charts :)

wee bits of bargain fat quarters

and some more :)

whoops and a wee bit more ...lol
Reg the hedgehog asleep in the garden :)

Sooo I think that is all for now folks ... I will try and bob round to see you all once again as life settles back into a "normal "routine (what ever that is ..lol )
Thank you all once again (((hugs)))) love mouse xxxxxx

It's nice to see you blogging again. I know you've had a hard time lately. Lovely bargains, wonderful. I miss not going to shows here, we don't seem to have worth going to in Ireland.

Okay Rex is adorable! I am glad you went to Harrogate after all - the best way to honor your father is to treat each and every day as the gift that it is. I need your new address Michelle - please email me when you have a moment to spare.

Nice to visit with you today. Looks like a good time was had and that is good. Does Rex roam free? Are there others around? We don't have such things here so I'm really curious! Hope your week is good.

Nice to see you back for a post. I can see why you didn't buy too many charts, your bag was full of fabric! At least you will use them, I would just be stashing because they look nice!
Love the Hallowe'en chart as well.

So nice to hear from you!! It's good to hear everything went well at your Dad's memorial. *Hugs* And I'm glad you were able to go to Harrogate. You picked up some of the same patterns I did over the weekend...great minds think alike! LOL You are often in my thoughts and always in my prayers, and I'm hoping soon you'll be back into familiar routines and stitching again. Missed Master Bentley's picture but Reg sure is a cutie! Give them both a pat from me!
