Jennifer and I were with him at the end, Jennifer slipped out of the room briefly as my uncle was on the phone and I said to my dad "its ok to go now" ... the room went very still, peaceful and calm and I knew my dad had gone and was at rest.
We spent some time still with him , taking to him and having a cuppa before we felt ready to leave him there .

I'm so very sorry to read this. I know how difficult it is to say good-bye. I'm so happy you were able to be with your father as he passed to the next world. I was lucky to be with my mother when she passed. I know she is an angel on my shoulder - I'm certain your father is on yours.
