Blooming marvellous .....

Hi every one :)
thank you for all your get well wishes .... I'm still on the mend but today I've been better than I have been since last week and long may it continue :)

I didn't realise how famouse I was , until this week.... I have discovered I have at least three stalkers (one was actually two persons at once) and not just my normal lovely followers either .....
these persons had the cheek to "steal " one of my photos of the start of my band sampler sal and pull it to ribbons with criticism ..... the person who did this had no ownership of the photo or its contents and  I do believe  this is illegal and it should in all probability be reported to yahoo ........... the sad thing is one of the people involved used to be a good friend of mine ........

Its a shame that the theft of designs on stitching groups and also blogs  has become so blatent .... another designer Angie has stopped all her charts for her sal due to something similar .....

soooo on to nice things now ... kettle has just boiled and I'm well stocked up on bourbons and custard creams ...... ;)
I finished the making up of the bloom cushion this week and I'm really pleased at how it has turned out ....:)
I dug deep into my fabric piles as I knew I had some fabric to finish of the winter band sampler by LHN and found the beige dupion silk  duly cut and pinned together and then went DOH !!!!! forgot to make a tassle out of the red to hang down from the point and went to look for it and noooooooooo haven't got enough left ........ sooo its still as it was ...lol
I've stitched  the next part of my Band sampler sal up but sorry you won' t be able to see this until it is totally finished as I would hate for the above to happen again !!!!!
I've almost finished the needle and thread LHN piece ... I just love it and can't wait to make it up and have my lovely ginghers resting in there .....:)
Wednesday was DD1's birthday and we were supposed to go off for the day but the weather was dreadful so we went to a local pub and had a nice meal there before coming home and having a piece much later on of her hedgehog birthday cake .... unfortunately there is none left of that :(
Thursday saw me take a wee trip to Hobby Craft and I dropped on some bargains for Christmas ... nowt like being organised heheheh as well as getting the paint to do the casting a spell box and some other wee boxes for RAKs etc :)
I also managed to get a wooden candlestick that I have been after for ages to do a pin cushion with YIPPPPEEEEE :) sooo watch this space ....
well the sun has been shining all day at the mouse house and I've got the washing up to date with help from Mr Bentley who has now learnt to climb the stairs and brings down those rouge socks ..lol
I've finished a wee freebie but forgot to take a photo but has gone into my to finish for the raks pile ...lol
I've had a busy 10 mins this morning printing out freebies to stitch and thinking who they should go to once done .... may be awhile yet ..lol ... sometimes wish I had another pair of hands to stitch them with heheheh ...
sooo here are some photos to drool and ahhh over :0

The flower is pretty, the cake to die for and so glad you're feeling better. Sorry there are bad people in this world and you had to deal with one of them.

Sorry about the pic stealing and nasty comments about it! Love the pic of your "pub pud" (looks like chocolate cheesecake). I had a dog just like yours too; his name was Norman. You have beautiful stitching and great finishing on your pieces!

Great stitching as always Mouse. Bentley is so cut. That cake looks so yummy. Beautiful flowers.

Glad you're feeling better. Your Bloom cushion looks wonderful... very creative finishing.
The hedgehog cake is so cute!
I'm sorry someone stole your photo and had the gall to criticize your beautiful stitching. Obviously their mom's never taught them 'if you can't say something nice...'
I bet little Bentley gave you lots of cuddles to make up for their rudeness.

You poor dear! I'm so sorry you had to deal with that! I do love your Bloom cushion! And your scissors bed is going to be pretty, too! How fun to print off all the freebies. I need extra hands, too!!!!

Very busy you've been, Miss Mouse! Sorry for your blog problems - they're always some who can't 'play well with others' aren't there? Love your stitching and finishing, and other pretties as well. Take care.

I'm sorry you have been a victim of photo theft, sad.
I'll share a bourbon with you to wish your DD a happy birthday.
Lovely little bloom finish.
Great news you are feeling brighter.

Glad you are feeling better Mouse. Isn't that awful that someone would steal you photo! What on earth are they thinking and what do they get from doing it? Grrr.
Anyway, on to nicer things. Love the bloom cushion, such wonderful colours. And that hedgehog cake is just too cute!Hope your DD had a great birthday.

Good to know that you are feeling better. I say you have done more beautiful stitching. I think you should report the person if you know who it is.... they have no rights to steal...probably do it all the time.

Love the bloom pillow Mouse! Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better too :O)

Glad you are feeling better. OH drat! Stalkers are such a bother. I'm so sorry there are people out there that steal the joy of sharing online. Hang in there. Can't wait to see the progress once you can post.

Love the pics of the stitchy projects. My hands are full of puppy instead of stitchy this weekend. hehe

Glad you are feeling better. Sorry that you are having to deal with nastiness. Your stitching is gorgeous. I love the finishing fabric you used on bloom. Great photos of Bentley and the flowers.

Everything is beautiful as usual. Love the hedgehog cake - it is just too cute. Sorry you had such a bother with the sampler, people can be so rude.

Hello

Your pillow finish is beautiful.

I cannot believe someone could be that nasty.

I love Bentley, he's gorgeous!

Your bloom pillow is beautiful! Love the finishing. Sorry about the theft of your picture and all that was said about it. Bentley is so cute.

Why are people so weird? Why steal a photo and then criticize it? If you don't like something then move on to the next thing. I think the person should be sentenced to eternal damnation in the needlework afterlife without any needles someone else blogged about!

Personally I can't stand it when people post delicious chocolate cake pics and don't share. But hey, none of my friends would do that would they?

Beth said...

Bloom finish is wonderful Mouse! You just ignore "The Nasties" out there - spiteful people can't thrive without attention paid to them.

Mouse I always feel exhausted after reading your blog :@ Sorry I hadn't realised you had not been feeling well, here's to continuing to improve. Beautiful stitching no-matter what anyone says... jealous is a curse, and some people are just plain nasty, it's there loss. One of the reasons I always put a 'pig' on my photos, it may not stop them, but hopefully it makes some stop and think... some, not all.

Bentley continues to shine :@

Sorry about the nasty behavior that happened. Such a bummer. :( Glad you're feeling better though. Happy belated birthday to your DD -- love that cake! Love your stitchy finish too, and your WIP. Bentley is adorable of course. Sounds like he's a little bit mischievous!

Sorry about the evil people. Don't let it get you down. I love your bloom finish. and all the evil sweets:)

I'm glad you're feeling better. Too bad that happened to you :( At least you have several hundred other followers who are nice ;)
Shopping sounds fun. I got some scrappy stuff and I'm working on a project for my MIL.
Love the stitching, I want that bloom pillow for my own :)
I did find the ferret ;) Now if I could find some allergy meds :p

I'm glad you are on the mend! Keep up the drinking of tea!!!

That's horrible to hear what has happened to you. I truly don't know why this is going on. It seems there is an account of some kind of theft going on every week or so now! I really hope this stops!

Can't wait to see the freebies you are going to stitch. I did the same thing (awhile ago) and only stitched two so far!! I've also been in a conundrum too with thinking about who should get a RAK and so on...wishing I had 8 pairs of hands and 8 more hrs in a day!!

Your bloom is gorgeous!!! So stylish! I love the houndstooth fabby! Happy Birthday to your DD and that cake is adorable and looks scryumptious! My hubby and I are all of a sudden hungry!!

Give Bentley a big hug and kiss for me!!

Absolutely love the finishing on Bloom, Mouse--really lovely--as is the stitching :)

I'm sorry to hear about your blog stalker problems--ugh--what is wrong with some people. Are we back in junior high school again or what? Some mean girls never grow up, do they?

Such pretty flowers, sweet doggy, and yummy cakes--looks like lots of good times in the Mouse House :)

DJ said...

Soooooo glad you are feeling better!! Sorry to hear about the theft of your photo...and if they are criticizing your lovely work, they either need glasses or they are jealous...either way it is their very SICK problem! I wish you could have been at the lake with us...you would have enjoyed it I think! We need to take up a fund to buy you a plane ticket!

Christine said...

Glar you are feeling better.
Some people need to belittle others in order to validate themselves, they must have very sad, lonely little lives! Try not to let them upset you.
Your Bloom pillow is absolutely gorgeous

Brigitte said...

Why do people do this? Stealing pictures and being nasty, that's really weird. Don't they have a life???
Mouse, I love the Bloom cushion, it's a delight to look at. And so are the chocolate thingies. OMG, I get hungry ...

Thoeria said...

So pleased to hear that you're on the mend! And horrified that there are people out there who have such dreary empty uncreative lives that they feel the need to try and break down and criticise others! They've obviously never heard of live and let live, tight? Don't worry Mouse, I for one am one of your "good" stalkers :)
Can't decide what looks better - the cake or the stitching! Did you bake it???? If yes then you're now been placed on a higher pedestal
;-D

LOL at the pup pics and commentary!! Bentley is SOOOOOO cute!

Your stitching is so pretty. OH MY GOSH, that pillow! So nice. I have to laugh--I had no idea that British people refer to dessert as pudding--I always thought that people on Corrie and other UK shows just liked to eat pudding. I have three sets of British neighbors and finally when we were out for a meal one night, I figured out what pudding was when they were looking at the dessert menu! LOL

Sorry to hear about the problems with other stitchers. A few years ago I lost some people that I thought were my friends (fellow stitchers) and it felt like somebody had knifed me in the stomach. ((((((((((((Mouse)))))))))))

Bertie said...

Glad to hear you are on the mend Mouse, especially now the weather is so good to us:))

Sorry to hear that people steal your pictures, often a sign that they are not creative enough themselves and have no imagination at all!! Looks like Bentley does not approve either, lovely picture!

Maggee said...

You did a great finishing job on Bloom! Looking forward to seeing the LHN project finished! Did you make that hedgehog cake?? It looks absolutely scrumptious!! It is morning here, and my tummy is grumbling!! Glad to hear you are on the mend! Of late, I used my phone to pull up my blog via google, and several other sites came up before my actual blog (quoting my posts) and then a pinterest one. Not knowing much about pinterest I started to take offense that one of my finishes was on someone else's site, till I clicked on it and it redirected to the origination source! Just did not know! Just remember, small things amuse small minds! Hugs!

Rita said...

Sorry to hear about the stalkers' mischief.

I love you little pillow. I haven't tried this finish technique yet but hope to someday soon.

I'm glad that you're feeling better now! I think that your pillow is absolutely wonderful. Such pretty colors and love the rabbit hopping over the bush. You've reminded me about the LHN piece. I was going to stitch that year and didn't get around to it.

And Happy B'day to your daughter. That is such a cute cake!

Hey you!!! What's this I hear about people stealing your pics??? Do tell me more... that's terrible and inexcusable!!!

Glad you're feeling better sweetie and ROFL, love DD's cake!!!!! Too cute for words. Bloom the pillow and flowers are to die for. :D

Oh! That cake is so cute!!! =) heheheh Happy birthday to your DD!! :D

I'm sorry to hear about those 'bad' followers =/ Some people just don't know their place, no respect, no character or dignity at all.. oh well, there are so many names for that!!
Don't give them your attention, ignore and move on, they don't deserve anything more from you than that.

Hope the rest of the week will bring some happy things to smile :)
hugs&smiles to you!

Hi Mouse
A bit behind on blog reading but sounds like we have been sharing the same bug only mine won't go away! Glad to hear you're improving xx
I don't know what this photo stealing is but it sounds awful and really quite worrying for all of us.
Of course, I totally love your 'bloom' finish, must be something to do with the bunny! need to hunt that one down.
Stay strong xxx

I'm really sorry to hear that someone had the gaul to steal your photo then criticise it. What is wrong with these people?!!! Worse that this person used to be a good friend too {{{{hugs}}}}

Love the card you made for your DD and her cake looks yummy as does the pud!

Bloom is beautiful. Love how you've finished it. Your LHN is coming along nicely:)

Aww Bentley looks so innocent there!

Mouse, the daffodils look so pretty! And your stitching is lovely--especially the start on the LHN piece. I hope you're having a wonderful spring!

Ruth said...

Thanks for sharing all the beauty and accomplishments (especially the world's cutest pup). I have to say, I don't get it-- take your picture and then use it to critique your pattern? Why? You know I kinda think life is too short and I have to much stash to get through to be bothered with hassling people. Sheesh. Get another hobby.

Anyway, lovely stitching ... as we've all come to expect. Keep this healthy feeling trend up!

Hello Mouse, Well what can I say that has not been said already, abslolutely love the Bloom cushion want it ,want it !lol.
Have not heard of that ,stalking and then being horrid , hmmm reminds me of the girl with a little curl , when she was good she was very very good but when she was bad she was horrid!!!!
Hope she leaves you alone and gets the message, and if you are reading this you nasty person you leave Mouse alone .
Hope you are tip top soon and squeaking as normal.

Oh, Bloom is sooo pretty - your finishing is gorgeous! Obne of these days I will muster up enough courage to make one of those sweet pillows.
I am very happy to hear that you are doing better, but so sad about the theft of your pics! I sometimes use other people's pics and link to their blogs, but not real often (like neat stuff for sale on Etsy, etc)... I wonder if that is ok...?

Maureen said...

I would love to say that i can't believe that someone would have the cheek to steal your photo and then publicly criticise it but alas there are always people who find great pleasure in denegrating others..

Loving all your finishes, as usual they are gorgeous!

Jennifer M. said...

I love your Bloom finish. It is darling. I'm sorry someone was insensitive and critical about your design. I just don't understand where people think they have the right to do that. Its one thing if a particular design does not interest you for one reason or another, but that doesn't mean you should go and write a nasty review about it on the internet. I just don't understand people sometimes. Just ignore them and continue doing what you love. There are many other stitchers who are proud and love your work anyways. :)

You already know my thoughts on these people; they know who they are, they read your blog and they should be ashamed of themselves (kicked off Yahoo too if I had anything to do with it!) Some people just cannot get past their own spitefulness and get on with their own lives and leave others to get on with theirs. And breathe .... love the finishes. See you soon xxxxx
