Helloooo Autumn

Gosh I can't believe a month has flown since my last post ... better get that kettle on as you will all be parched ...lol ...well as you can tell from the title that Autumn has started to appear at the mouse house with the leaves starting to turn to beautiful hues of red and copper and to fall from the trees as well ...the temperatures have started to drop as well brrrr but the good thing is I have finished three blankets now and on to a fourth with wool bought for a couple more to make as well ... crochet is sooo relaxing when your eyes are too tired to see the wee holes on the linen when cross stitching ...and I am learning more from my friends how to do it too :) always a billy bonus as they say ..lol
I have been keeping busy and have finished two of the ornaments for work for Christmas , just need to assemble and have started on the third .... worked some more on "My Pink Rose" by Blackbird Designs ... just today I have put some more stitches in the linen and thread mystery sal .... waving small paw at La tea da .....and have almost finished Januarys section ... go me ...lol and I have stitched the Holmsey Halloween chart from Stitchersanon over on Facebook on the Holmsey Hares Haven page  I sort of model stitched it for her and I am going to finish finish it into a wee hanging ornament ... I was going to send it out as an exchange piece but I love it too much sooo I am going to stitch it again but with a slight alteration ... changing the moon to silver and the words to the darker orange colour ... just because I can :)
DH and I nipped over to Ripley again a few weeks ago to pick up DD1 and had to take Master Bentley along for the ride too .. she had finished her work up there and was coming back home again .... there was the annual scarecrow festival on and I managed to get photos of some of them ....when we had a quick walk to stretch the paws after the car journey...
Hmmmm what else have I done ... ohhh yes how could I forget ... Chris, Roz and I went to the small Harrogate quilt show and came home with a few more goodies ... in fact I got the wool there for the blanket I am crocheting now ... a James C Brett Stonewash DK in muted pinks and heathers and green ... Wendy said it reminded her of 100's and 1000's melted into icing ..lol well the pattern is called the cupcake blanket hehehehe...
The night before the show DH and I went to Otley to my Step Sister's 40th birthday bash ... it was folk music orientated and I have a few videos of the stars performing one of them being Madeline ...
I have also been busy at work and working on my NVQ level 4 business administration ... sent another unit in and working on unit 22 atm collaborating with other departments, written as an article ... you would think with all the waffling I do normally this wouldn't be a problem ..lol so far only half way through it...
ok doke the kettle is going on again and I will sort out the photos while it is boiling ....

What a lovely blog post! You've been a busy lady for sure! Loved the pictures from the quilt show, thanks for "taking us along with you" through pictures. Poor Bentley, he sure doesn't like baths does he? Give him a pat from me, won't you? Love all your stitching! Those little sheep butts sure are cute! LOL What pattern is that? I keep thinking it's so sweet, I would love to stitch it for my tree! Your crocheting is picture perfect, and the colors so beautiful!! You sure got some sweet patterns, I really like the Cross eyed cricket...and that should be stitched for me!! Hahaha.

I loved seeing the photos of the quilt show, the seasonal trees is my favorite, that series is stunning. Love the Garden quilt with the applique, the talent that people have is just amazing. Your pink and green crochet blanket is lovely.
I love seeing castles as we don't have any here:(, what a great shot of the Ripley castle draped with Autumn color. Great stash you purchased and waving my hand here, I have a great hobby of buying!! Have a great week, Mary@stitchingfriendsforever

What a busy Mouse! Love all the quilts, especially the seasonal ones with the birch trees.
Colleen's needlebook is lovely, assume it's a needlebook anyway?

Oooooh lovey new stash! Love the saying on the Cricket Collection chart, that's me all over, lol.
I'm finding it harder lately to stitch on anything for long, my eyes get very sore, crochet and knitting are perfect when there is something on TV or you are feeling tired.

Good to hear from you once again Michelle. Amazing quilts and I quite like the stash that found its way home with you. Busy, busy, busy - I don't know how you find the time to stitch and crochet and everything else that you do.

Great pictures and post, as always! I noticed our trees are beginning to turn now, too... I even took a picture of one out on the trail. You may not have posted in a month, but you were certainly busy! The afghan you finished has delightful colors! And your new one is going to be lovely! The quilt show looks wonderful... so much hard work goes into each one. Love the picture of Master Bentley, being sad... Thanks for sharing! Hugs!

WOW the quilts are amazing, love the tree ones. Your blanket reminds me of the ones my mum used to make when we were very small. We have a crocheted blanket on the back of the sofa for winter, the kids love wrapping themselves up in it as it's absolutely huge. Lots of squares put together.

La-tea-da waves back - still haven't started my linen and thread mystery sal (was hoping to see picture of it) and I have ordered Lizzie*Kate Christmas mystery sampler, so maybe I will do them in rotation, usually I just stitch one project at a time (unless traveling then do a small easy project). Love all your pictures. Now that I have finished my cup of tea (thank you)time to get back to work. :o}
